New Bedford Massachusetts now hosts a tradition in festivals
in the Northeast. The Standard-Times Greater New Bedford Summerfest, fondly called Summerfest, has become one of the largest folk music and arts festivals in New England.
Summerfest is quickly gaining an outstanding reputation as an international folk music and arts festival. The event takes place on the weekend closest to the Fourth of July from 11AM-8PM throughout the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. At Summerfest, you will enjoy a great lineup of national and international folk music performers in both large and intimate stages, as well as over 80 juried craft and artisans booths.
